UPDATE:
The Nigerian custom service has recently shortlisted about 3,500 candidates. Recall that about 800,000 Nigerians had recently applied for various positions but only 3,500 thousand people where able to scale through the selection process.
According to the customs boss, he said they had painstakingly selected the list based on the criteria they put down. He went on further to state that those who has been shortlisted has been notified via email and their various telephone numbers used during the registration period.
“In line with our earlier stated guideline, those shortlisted are being notified via their e-mail addresses and telephone numbers.”
Nigerian customs recruitment aptitude tests, date and time
It has been stated clearly that all qualified candidates are still going to do what they called aptitude tests. The venue of the center allocated to each candidate is going to reflect on their notification slip. Do your best, check the slip you printed to find your date, time and venue of the tests.
How do I get Nigerian customs recruitment notification slip?
The Nigerian customs has successfully sent your notification slip via email address used during registration. Login to your mail and get the slip.
The customs boss said that everyone who made it to the next stage can proceed to their email address, that’s where the notification slip can be printed out.

While going to your centers you are expected to come along with the notification slip which will serve as your invitation letter and also you should come along with your passport, voters card or means of identification
Is there any Payment for the Nigeria custom recruitment?
There is no payment for the Nigeria customs recruitment process, aptitude tests or screening. Everything has been taken care of by the federal government. Budget has been appropriated for the recruitment process hence no individual is expected to pay for the exam, tests etc.
Number of Nigerians to be recruited by the Nigerian custom :
The Nigerian custom service recruitment portal received over 800,000 applications out of which only 160 thousand applicants made it to the next stage.
From the position earlier advertised only about 3200 officers will be recruited by the body.
Key requirements for recruiting candidates :
This are the key recruitment requirements outlined by the customs boss. Note that only 800 qualified Nigerians will be recruited to fill positions superintendent staff
While 2400 will fill various positions existing in existing in the assistant cadre.
- All positions advertised are available for Nigerians by birth.
- Hight of 1.7 and 1.64 metre for men and women respectively.
- Certified by health specialist to be fit for the job.
- Must be mentally capable and stable.
- Applicant must be of good character.
- Free from debt.
- No pregnant woman shall be allowed.
- Preferable single men and women.
