2024/2025 JAMB cut-off Mark for All Schools (Universities , Polytechnics )

Following the mass failure of 2024 Jamb candidates, jamb has cancelled cut off mark, this means that there will be no General cut off this year.

Schools will only be allowed to set their own cut off mark. This means that institutions will now determine its admission benchmark. But does this calls for celebration? A check shows that schools are used to pegged high cut off mark even when JAMB is setting lower marks.

it’s said that the University of Maiduguri has just proposed 150, Usman Dan Fodio University Sokoto proposed 140, Pan Atlantic University proposed 210, University of Lagos 200, Lagos State University190, Covenant University 190, and Bayero University Kano, 180

Please note that JAMB is not giving up it Power, they will still monitor the process through its CAP policy. Hence candidate are asked to upload their details as soon as they are expected.

Gaining admissions into any of Nigeria’s prestigious higher institution is no child’s play. Like every region of the world,

students in Nigeria are expected to go through a series of tests or examinations which will qualify them to apply to the school of their choice.

Although, there are several exams and tests that one can sit for to gain entry into a higher institution, the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) remains the major examination to gain entry into a higher institution in Nigeria.

This, of course, is after one must have sat for and passed either WAEC or NECO. However, sitting for the UTME is not enough but meeting up with cut-off mark is. With this in mind, the struggle has never been more real for students.

The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is a standardized computer-based test administered yearly by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). After the examinations, a cut-off mark for all higher

institutions across the country is set. The cut-off mark usually is set based on the performances of candidates who sat for the examination as they are put into great consideration. This includes universities, Polytechnics, monotechnics, and colleges of education.

The minimum cut-off mark for all higher institutions across the country was recently determined by JAMB after a long policy meeting with the Jamb Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Olarenwaju Oloyede in attendance.

Please note that, schools has been asked to set their own marks, so watch out for post UTME cut off mark from your school.

  2. Private Universities – 140
  3. Federal and State Polytechnics – 120
  4. Private Polytechnics – 110
