Depending on the position you are applying for, the minimum requirement for the lowest position is the three credits including Mathematics and English Language in the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), or National Examination Council (NECO).

For higher positions, you need a second class lower classification in your Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.). Or a Lower Credit classification in your Higher National Diploma (H.N.D.). It is an added advantage if you have a Master’s Degree (M. Sc.) or a Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A).

Apart from academic qualifications, Central Bank of Nigeria applicants need to possess excellent communication skills, computer literacy, and a birth certificate or age declaration or attestation.

The maximum age limit for applicants is 35.

The minimum age required is eighteen, you need to bring along your original WASSCE/NECO/B.Sc./HND/M.Sc. certificates. You also need to bring along two copies of each result and a medical certificate of fitness from a recognized hospital (preferably a Federal Medical Centre).

Applicants must also present two passport photographs, download, fill and present the Parent/Guardian acknowledgment from the CBN portal. Also, you need a valid means of identification.

You need either a Driver’s License, National Identification Card, Permanent Voter’s Card, or International Passport. Go through these requirements carefully, if you have the requirements then you are halfway there.

By policy, CBN’s requirement process is based on merit. To avoid any suspicion of bias. There is a thorough, fair, and open recruitment process that promotes equal opportunity, credibility, merit, and staff optimization.

The main disciplines required by the CBN are; Banking and Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration, Computer, Law, Statistics, and Sociology. If you studied something else, you can still apply.

Only the official employment portal is a recognized place for submitting applications, applicants can apply only once. People with disabilities are also encouraged to apply as long as they are qualified.

How to Apply for CBN Recruitment

search for and click on Available Vacancies, if there are click on the position you are applying for and begin registration.

You need to fill in a valid phone number, and an email address you check regularly. Input your details accurately in the application, then activate your account. An SMS or mail with the activation code will be sent to your phone number or email address.

Use the code to activate your account then go through everything to ensure the information is correct. Scan all the certificates required, then submit. Check your account regularly as information will be sent there.

After applying, successful and shortlisted candidates are invited for an aptitude test. If they pass that, they go on to have an interview. During this time, there is a physical verification exercise of all documents submitted during application.

Note that if your documents are found to be false or fake you will be disqualified.
