The mandate of the Kwara state teaching service commission (TESCOM) is to provide high-quality education services to the people of Kwara state. There is a body that has been set up to meet this objectives and that body is TESCOM,

Kwara State teachers’ recruitment requirements
Interested applicants who wish to apply for the Kwara state teaching position should take note of these requirements. And all applications should be submitted at least two weeks before the concluding date, mainly from the date the recruitment was announced. Below are the conditions applicants must provide.
Applicants can only apply once
Must be 18 years and above anything below that is not acceptable.
Must provide WASSCE or NECO/NABTEB Result, this is the minimum educational requirement.
Other degrees to present are National Certificate of Education (NCE)
Another degree in demand is B.SC, HND, or OND qualifications and this should be backed by NYSC Certificate.
Must be Fluent in the English Language to be able to communicate with the students effectively.
Must have good teaching skills- Teaching is not just about imparting knowledge; it is about helping students develop their skills. Therefore, you should be able to demonstrate these skills while teaching.
Applicants must possess any or a combination of the following qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree obtained from accredited institutions of higher learning in the said subject areas:
The Kwara state government says All applicants applying for any position must possess five (5) O-level credit passes in not more than two sittings, and this should include Mathematics and English Language.
Another important thing to note here is that applicants with a minimum of a Degree from reputable institution in relevant subject areas should apply.
It’s important to note that applicant must possess teaching qualifications so as to be able to impact knowledge into pupils. Registration with the Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) will give you an edge ahead of others and also if you are a computer literate it would be an added advantage.
Are you a polytechnic graduate and an HND holders in relevant school subjects? And also with a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Education? You can apply because you are more than qualified for this job.
Applicants should not be more than 35 years of age. Recall that we said 18 years of age is the minimum age requirement.
Applicants must possess an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate to show that you have successfully served your father land and also meet the constitutional requirements.
Being employed by the Kwara state government means thats you should accept to work in any part of the state, this include remote and urban areas.
It has been proven that only medically certified teachers will be able to discharge their duties effectively hence while the recruitment goes on, only certified applicants whohas been certified by a recognized government hospital will be employed.
A B.Sc or Master’s Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in any related discipline or an HND in Arts, Sciences, Social Sciences, Technology, Home Economics, and other relevant courses will also be an additional advantage. Technical Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) or Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) are also acceptable credentials.
How to Apply for Kwara State Teachers’ Recruitment
To start the Kwara state teaching job application process , eligible applicants are expected to visit the application portal on tescom.kw.gov.ng. This is wheere all recruitment related stuff are done and not in any government office.
So The next step is to create an account with a functioning email address and then verify the email sent to their mailbox.
You can check your spam box if you do not receive a confirmation link in your inbox. After this, start filling out the application on tescom.kw.gov.ng with your correct information. Ensure that you upload the required documents on tescom.kw.gov.ng and submit them.
Simply sign into the application portal, tescom.kw.gov.ng. Candidates who meet the qualifications must register on the portal and begin filling out the application form before they will be shortlisted.
These documents must be uploaded to the application portal http://www.kwarastate.gov.ng and printed and brought with you to the examination/screening date. Only qualified candidates who can teach the subjects advertised should proceed to submit their applications on the portal.
You are not to travel anywhere to check if you are shortlisted or not, just check your mail because Shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email or SMS.
Kwara state Government wont hesitate to disqualify any applicant who made two attempts to apply using two accounts. What will mean here is that candidates who submit multiple applications will be disqualified.
